Frequently Asked Questions

These are the questions we get from customers all the time! Feel free to contact us if you see something we missed.

Are your bows really handmade?

Yes they are! I purchase ribbon and finishes like clips, headbands, and centers from my favorite suppliers and create everything myself.

How soon will I receive my order?

Your bows will be ready to ship from Pennsylvania within 2-3 business days from the time your order is placed. I use USPS first class shipping, which generally takes from 1-3 days depending on where your package will travel to in the US.

Is there an option for me to pick up my order?

Sure thing! If you live near Allentown, Pennsylvania and would like to pick up your order, please use the code LOCAL at checkout. I’ll be in touch to coordinate a pickup time.

What is your return policy?

Once an order is placed it is non-refundable. If you’re unhappy with a piece you receive, please email me at sarah@gingersnapsbows.com and we’ll work together to find a solution.

Can I order custom bows?

I love making custom pieces to match special outfits or for special occasions. Please message me at sarah@gingersnapsbows.com with your ideas and we’ll work together to make it happen. Please allow 2 weeks for custom pieces to be made (since they often require a special supply purchase). Shipping time is on top of the 2 week production time.

Is bulk pricing available?

Yes! Bows make great party favors and gifts for sports teams, Girl Scout troops, and other groups. Bulk pricing is available for the purchase of 8 or more of the same item. Please message me at sarah@gingersnapsbows.com for more information and to order.

The edges of my bow are starting to fray. What do I do?

Each bow’s edges are heat sealed during production, but over time with repeated wear or a trip through the washer and dryer (I’ve done it myself!), the edges of a bow can start to fray. Just use sharp scissors to trim the fray, and then take a lighter and quickly flick the flame across the edge to heat seal. If the ribbon is a lighter color be sure to move the flame quickly so the ribbon won’t singe.
